I chose this experiment because I wanted not only to try it, but it would be interesting to know how long it takes to grow a mold.
The reason this experiment worked, was that all the conditions that are needed in order to grow a mold were present. The conditions needed to grow a mold that I used were: a piece of bread, dust, moisture, warm temperature and darkness. The bread I put in a sealed carton. I started this project on Monday, February 22, 2010. I would check the bread daily, to see when the I first saw the mold on the bread. today, Tuesday, March 2, 2010, I saw mold. It took one week and a day, when I noticed the first sign of the mold.
