Flubber Chicken Bone












I chose this experiment because I wanted to see the chicken bone start out being hard then turn soft, flubbery.

The reason why this experiment worked is because the bone is made up of calcium which makes the bone hard like human bones. When I put the bone in the vinegar for about one week, the bone got soft. The vinegar is a mild acid and over time it dissolved the calcium which made the bone soft.
