I chose this experiment because I thought it would be interesting to see the food coloring separate from the salt water, after all the mixtures were mixed together.
The reason why this experiment worked is because that the salt water is heavier than the food coloring, which is lighter. The salt water went to the bottom of the cuo and the food coloring went to the top.
